If so, Teaching Personnel Birmingham have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified science teacher to work full time at a brilliant school in the Hall Green (B28) area of Birmingham.

 

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science teacher with exceptional subject knowledge and knowledge of the national curriculum, to work full time in a supportive and encouraging environment. You will be teaching to a range of ages and abilities across Years 7-11. If you are capable of planning and teaching for AS and A Level students, this is massively beneficial.

To Scale

 

Ideal Candidate:

-  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

- Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school

- Excellent school based references and a DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

- Strong classroom presence and confident with behaviour management

- Prior experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and strong knowledge of how to adapt lessons to suit individuals

- Exceptional subject knowledge and awareness of the national curriculum

 

Roles/Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that suit the individual needs within each class

- Assess pupil progress regularly, providing timely feedback to support pupils with their learning and development and adapting lessons accordingly

- Work closely with fellow colleagues to ensure the department is a high performer within the school

- Communicate effectively with everyone in the school and ensure safeguarding principles are at the centre of your practice

- Contribute to wider school community, i.e. extra curricular activities, parents evening etc

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
