Join Teaching Personnel for an Exciting Opportunity in Science Education

Are you a passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to make a difference in the field of Science? Do you want to gain valuable teaching experience while receiving excellent support and development opportunities? Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic Science ECTs to join our partner secondary schools in Oldham and the surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As a Science ECT, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in secondary schools across Oldham. This role is ideal for newly qualified teachers who are eager to begin their teaching career in a supportive environment. You will have the chance to teach a range of science topics, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, to students of varying abilities at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and encourage a love for the subject.
  • Work closely with other teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your teaching skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A recently qualified Science Teacher (ECT) with QTS or in the process of obtaining it.
  • A strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • A valid DBS check registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
