Job description

Job Title: Maths and English Tutor

Location:

West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type:

Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths and English lessons to students
  • Assess students' learning needs and develop individualised learning plans
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress
  • Monitor and track student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)

Education:

Degree in Mathematics, English or related field

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching Maths and English to students of varying abilities

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum for Maths and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional teaching qualifications or certifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
