JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Tutor

Location:

West Midlands, Birmingham, United Kingdom

Job Duties:

Provide one-on-one tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and goals
Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students' academic progress
Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with Special Educational Needs

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN regulations and best practises
Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
Strong classroom management skills
Proficient in using technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
Experience working in a SENCO role
Training in specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia or autism

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
