Job description

Job Title: SEN Tutor

Location:

West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham

Salary:

£25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support and tailored learning strategies to students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Develop and deliver individualised educational plans based on students' specific needs
  • Assist students in overcoming learning barriers and achieving academic goals
  • Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' holistic development

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching or equivalent

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with SEN
  • Demonstrated success in implementing individualised learning plans

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of various SEN conditions and learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learning styles
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in SEN teaching
  • Experience in using assistive technology to support learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
