Level 3 Teaching Assistant – SEMH School, Blackburn
Full-Time, 8:30am – 3:30pm | Temp to Perm Option
Pay: £13.75 per hour

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) setting? We are currently working with a fantastic SEMH school in Blackburn that is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic TA to support students on a 1:1 and general basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH, ensuring their learning and emotional needs are met
  • Assist in delivering lessons and activities that promote positive engagement
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and developing coping strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Provide general classroom assistance as required, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience for all students

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH or additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in a challenging yet rewarding environment
