Are you passionate about supporting students and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our team in Blackburn.

Position: General Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom management and the delivery of lessons
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who may require additional help
• Support the development of students’ literacy and numeracy skills
• Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources
• Foster a positive, nurturing environment to help students build confidence and achieve their best
• Assist with the supervision of students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities
• Monitor and record students’ progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Desirable:

• A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
• Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
