Job Advert: Level 2 Teaching Assistant – SEMH Provision
Location: Blackburn
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Dependent on Experience

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering tailored educational programmes for students with SEMH needs.
  • Provide direct support to individual students and small groups to help them engage with their learning and reach their potential.
  • Implement behavioural strategies and support students’ emotional well-being within the classroom.
  • Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and support services to ensure the holistic needs of students are met.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Additional training or experience in supporting students with SEMH or other additional needs is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
