Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, High Ongar

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to address students' specific learning challenges
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to promote academic growth and confidence in students
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Implement a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English and Maths curriculum at Key Stage 3 level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and accommodations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational skills to manage individualised learning plans effectively
  • Experience in outreach or community-based education programmes

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work primarily in a learners home, library or local school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
