Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Basildon

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English and Maths lessons to KS3 students
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in English and Maths
  • Experience working with KS3 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction based on students' learning styles
  • Proficient in using various teaching methods and resources
  • Experience in delivering outreach programmes

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work may involve travel to different outreach locations (school, learners home or local library)
  • Opportunity for remote teaching sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
