Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Rayleigh

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Provide English and Maths intervention sessions to Key Stage 3 students
  • Assess students' learning needs and create personalised learning plans
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to improve students' understanding and attainment
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in English and Maths
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 students

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
  • Experience in delivering intervention or support sessions

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum for English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Additional training in special educational needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in a learners home or local library

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
