Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Leigh-on-Sea

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tuition to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress
  • Assess students' abilities and adapt teaching methods to suit their learning styles
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in students' education

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge in English and Maths curriculum for Key Stage 3
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in delivering differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning needs
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and accommodations

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in a learners home setting
  • Travel to student's homes for tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
