Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Canvey Island

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Job Duties:

  • Provide targeted English and Maths intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to both students and parents
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Experience in delivering educational interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Key Stage 3 curriculum requirements
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students in English and Maths. The work will take place in an educational setting, collaborating with school staff and parents to support student progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
