Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 LAC Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Colchester

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 Looked After Children (LAC)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Collaborate with other educational professionals and caregivers to support students' academic development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with Looked After Children
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in educational settings with Looked After Children
  • Collaborative work with educators, caregivers, and other professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
