Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Braintree

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

Salary:

£20 - £30 per hour

Job Duties:

1. Provide tailored English and Maths intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students.

2. Develop individualised learning plans to support students in improving their academic performance.

3. Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.

4. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding students' progress and areas for improvement.

5. Keep accurate records of student attendance, performance, and any additional support provided.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant teaching qualification

- Experience in delivering English and Maths interventions

- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience working with Key Stage 3 students

Knowledge and Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students

- Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in special educational needs (SEN)

- Experience working as a tutor

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours, flexible schedule

- Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
