This pivotal role focuses on managing the school's Inclusion Room, providing essential support to students with behavioural, social, emotional, and academic needs.

Job Details:

• Position: Inclusion Room Manager
• Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
• Start Date: November 2024 or January 2025
• Contract: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of Inclusion Room: Oversee daily operations of the Inclusion Room, creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students requiring additional assistance.
• Student Support: Work closely with students to identify and address barriers to learning, implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and academic success.
• Individual and Group Interventions: Plan and deliver targeted interventions to support students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs, both individually and in small groups.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams to develop and implement personalised support plans, ensuring a cohesive approach to student welfare.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on student progress, behaviour, and attendance in the Inclusion Room, providing regular updates to senior staff and parents.
• Professional Development: Stay informed of best practices in inclusive education by attending relevant training and development sessions.

Requirements:

• Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within a school setting is essential. Experience supporting students with additional needs, particularly behavioural challenges, is highly desirable.
• Education: Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, counselling, or a related field. Additional training in behaviour management and special educational needs is advantageous.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenging situations.
• DBS Check: All applicants must have a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for one.
