General Cover Teacher
Job description
Position: General Cover Teacher
Location: Lancaster
Hours: Part-time, flexible
Start date: ASAP
This position is based at an OSTED rated ‘Good’ secondary school in the heart of Lancaster. They are looking a committed individual to deliver high standard cover lessons in the teachers absence. The selected Teacher will support the school's objectives and make sure that all students continue to experience learning through inclusion.
The school has a welcoming and close-knit community with very close links to the surrounding areas which it serves. They pride themselves on offering excellent support to pupils so that they receive the very best of all things during their time at the school.
The role:
- Build rapport with the pupils
- Collect the work after the lesson to pass to the correct teacher
- Have the skills to manage behaviour of the pupils in the class to
- Ensure the pre-set work is completed
- Deal with any problems that may arise in the correct way
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with small or large groups of children
- Be available at least 2 days a week
- Be flexible and available at short notice
- Being able to drive would be an advantage
- Looking for people who hold a QTS but if not there are other positions available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
