Job Opportunity: Part-Time History Teacher (Temporary)
Location: Chorley
Start Date: September
Contract: Part-Time | Temporary

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher looking for a new opportunity this September? A welcoming secondary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History specialist to join their team on a part-time, temporary basis.

About the Role:

  • Teach engaging and dynamic History lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Plan and deliver lessons that spark curiosity and deepen historical understanding

  • Inspire students to think critically about the past and its relevance today

  • Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate with colleagues across the Humanities department

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school setting

  • A strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
