Job description

GCSE Tutors Required – Eccles (M30)

Are you a committed education professional seeking a rewarding opportunity to support young learners in the crucial lead-up to their GCSE examinations?

TP Tutors is seeking experienced and motivated tutors to provide 1:1 and small group tuition across Maths, English, and Science for pupils in Eccles (M30) and the surrounding areas.

We work in partnership with local schools and local authorities to provide targeted, personalised support to students who require additional academic guidance outside of mainstream education. As a GCSE Tutor, you will play an essential role in helping pupils consolidate their learning, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

About the Role:

  • Location: Eccles (M30) and local areas

  • Subjects: GCSE Maths, English, Science

  • Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour

  • Working Hours: Flexible within 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday

  • Delivery: Sessions held either in pupils' homes or within public settings, such as libraries

You will be responsible for identifying gaps in knowledge, planning tailored sessions, and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the specific needs of each learner.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Prior experience teaching or tutoring at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge across one or more core subjects (Maths, English, Science)

  • Ability to plan and deliver effective, individualised GCSE tuition

  • Excellent communication skills with a patient, supportive approach

  • A focus on maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
