Support ESOL Pupils in Stockport (SK1) – Become a 1:1 Tutor

Are you passionate about helping young learners develop their English language skills? Ready to make a real impact in a flexible, rewarding role?

At TP Tutors, we are seeking caring and committed individuals to deliver 1:1 ESOL tuition to pupils in Stockport (SK1). Many of the learners are new to English and need additional support to access education and settle into their new community.

Tuition is delivered face-to-face, either in the pupil’s home or a local public setting, such as a library, offering safe and supportive learning environments.

Your Role:

  • Providing 1:1 tuition focused on English speaking, listening, reading and writing

  • Creating engaging, learner-centred sessions tailored to individual needs

  • Supporting pupils of various ages and English language abilities

  • Building pupils’ confidence and helping them integrate into education

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with ESOL, EAL, English or literacy support

  • Ability to plan interactive, accessible and motivating sessions

  • Strong communication and adaptability skills

  • A nurturing, patient and encouraging approach

  • QTS is welcome but not essential; experienced tutors, TAs or ESOL specialists are encouraged to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
