Job description

Job Title: GCSE SEN Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs (SEN) studying for their GCSE exams
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' abilities and requirements
  • Deliver engaging lessons to help students improve their academic performance and achieve their full potential
  • Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support SEN students
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing personalised learning plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
