Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Job Duties:

As an English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor, your primary responsibilities include providing targeted support and guidance to students preparing for their GCSE exams. You will create individualised learning plans, deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of each student.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Education.

Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths at GCSE level.

Experience in delivering intervention sessions to support student learning.

Education:

A degree in Education or relevant subject area.

Additional qualifications in teaching and assessment are desirable.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.

Proven track record of improving student attainment and progress.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialised training in intervention strategies and techniques.

Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. You will be based in a school or learners home setting, providing support to students during designated intervention sessions. Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate student schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
