Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality English and Maths GCSE outreach tutoring to students in the Chelmsford area
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of each student
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience in delivering GCSE-level English and Maths tuition
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the learning styles of individual students
  • Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Additional certifications in special education or literacy development

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, with flexibility in scheduling tutoring sessions. Travel within the Chelmsford area may be required to conduct outreach sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
