Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Hazel Grove

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £89 - £99 Per day

Job Duties:

The Cover Supervisor will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the set work. This includes managing classroom behaviour, delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, and ensuring a productive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Education:

A level of education that meets the required qualifications, such as GCSEs in English and Maths.

Experience:

Prior experience working in an educational environment, preferably in a similar role.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to follow and deliver lesson plans effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education qualifications in Education or related field
  • Additional training in behaviour management or safeguarding

Working Conditions:

The Cover Supervisor will work full-time hours on a contract basis, typically following the school's term calendar. The role may involve working with students of varying ages and abilities in a classroom setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
