Youth Worker – Alternative Provision (Liverpool)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Youth Worker to join a dynamic Alternative Provision based in Liverpool.
This setting supports students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) who require a more personalised approach to their learning. The aim is to re-engage young learners, helping them build the confidence, skills, and resilience needed to successfully transition back into mainstream education or progress onto positive pathways.

Start Date: ASAP or September (depending on candidate availability)
Key Responsibilities:
-
Engage students through sports, creative activities, and 1:1 mentoring to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
-
Encourage active student participation using adaptable and inclusive teaching strategies.
-
Support students' emotional, social, and behavioural development through effective behaviour management techniques.
-
Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to maintain a structured and nurturing setting.
Person Specification:
-
Background in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or a similar field.
-
Previous experience working with young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural challenges.
-
A confident, patient, and resilient approach with excellent relationship-building skills.
-
A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and achieve success.
-
The ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations in a calm and positive manner.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
