Position: Full-Time Sports Coach
About The school:
A dedicated institution that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) are looking for a dedicated sports coach to join their team. All of their students have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) in place, ensuring that their individual needs are met. Role Overview:
They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and delivering a sports programme tailored to the unique needs of their students. You will use your skills and expertise to engage students, build positive relationships, and create a supportive environment where every child feels understood and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an inclusive sports programme that caters to the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s development.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel supported and encouraged.
- Adapt coaching methods to suit the needs of students with ASD, ADHD, Autism, and other special educational needs.
- Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles, while also fostering teamwork, confidence, and social skills.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to both students and staff.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during all sports activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sports coaching, preferably within a school or educational setting.
- Experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and Autism, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the importance of building relationships with SEN students to help them feel supported.
- Ability to adapt coaching techniques to meet the needs of individual students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for helping children succeed and reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
