Exciting Opportunity in Education: Primary Teaching Assistant – South Bristol
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Primary School in South Bristol, working across various year groups.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teachers in creating an engaging classroom environment.
- Assisting children who need extra help with learning tasks.
- Leading small group activities and providing one-to-one support as needed.
- Responding to challenges with quick thinking and problem-solving skills, even without direct supervision.
What We’re Looking For
While previous classroom experience is a plus, it’s not essential. We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Confident working with small groups or one-on-one.
- Skilled in managing classroom behavior while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Caring, patient, and strong communicators with a calm approach to challenges.
- Motivated to inspire children and boost their engagement.
- Willing to complete online Safeguarding training.
You’ll also need to either hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced child workforce DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, costing £57.80 if not already registered.

- Location: South Bristol
- Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
- Type of Work: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Full day (8:30 am - 4 pm) or half-day shifts
- Rate of Pay: £85 - £95 per day
