Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Salford, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our expert team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the holistic development of students with diverse learning needs, working within a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Your Role in SEN Education:

As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to creating an adaptive and supportive learning environment will be essential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Tailored Support: Assist in providing individualised support through one-on-one and small group sessions, designed to meet the unique needs of each student, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
  • Positive Behaviour Support: Help implement positive behaviour strategies that promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all students, enabling them to reach their full potential.
  • Support with Progress Monitoring: Aid in conducting observations and assessments, contributing to tracking student progress and providing valuable feedback to the wider team, including parents and carers.

About You:

  • Specialist Experience: Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with a range of SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, sensory impairments, and communication needs, will be a strong advantage.
  • Key Attributes: You are patient, empathetic, and deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEN. You embrace and promote inclusive practices.
  • Dedicated to Safeguarding: A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children is essential.
