Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a large SEN School based in Bournemouth The school is for 3-16 year olds with SEMH needs. The school are looking for an experienced and passionate KS4 Teacher to join there team.
As the SEN Teacher, you will deliver high quality teaching and learning to children and young people with SEMH and other complex or anxiety related needs who may present with challenging behaviours associated with their diagnosis. Some pupils may have multiple learning difficulties.
Key duties:
- Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.
- Develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.
- Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
Essential:
- PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
- Experience of working in a special school environment and in particular with pupils with SEMH.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate diploma in SEN
- Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
