Job description

  • Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Bournemouth
  • Salary: 12.90 p/h
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Supporting students with a range of special educational needs
    • Supporting both 1:1 and group work
    • Helping with the development of social and emotional skills
    • Working alongside teachers and other support staff to provide a safe learning environment
    • Assisting with personal care (if necessary, based on the students' needs)

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • A passion for supporting children with special needs
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably with SEN children
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a Special Educational Needs qualification
  • (Desirable) Experience working with children with specific needs, such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties
  • Hours & Work Schedule: Full-time/Part-time and details of working hours (e.g., Monday to Friday,8.45am - 3.30 pm)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
