Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant at an SEN School in Bournemouth!
Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? We're working with a fantastic SEN school in Bournemouth, and they are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from Easter until the end of the academic year!
This is a full-time role that involves working across a variety of classes, providing essential support to pupils aged 11-16 with autism and other complex needs, such as SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health). You'll be making a real difference in the lives of students, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups.
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities in various subject areas.
- Promote independence, self-confidence, and emotional well-being in students.
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN specialists to create a nurturing learning environment.
- Help students develop social and communication skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive individual with a passion for helping children with special educational needs.
- Previous experience working with children or young adults with autism or SEMH is preferred, but not essential.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by students with complex needs, with a commitment to promoting inclusion.
