About the Role
We are seeking motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduates to join leading special schools in Birmingham, providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will be assisting students with Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other learning difficulties.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in shaping students' educational experiences and supporting their personal development both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1:1 and Small Group Support: Assist students across various age groups, from Early Years through to Post-16.
- Promoting Independence: Encourage students to develop crucial skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.
- Tailored Learning: Collaborate with teaching staff to provide personalised support that empowers students to reach their full potential.
This role is an excellent opportunity for graduates aiming for a career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, teaching, or counselling.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who are:
- Psychology Graduates (or currently working towards a degree) – related fields such as Criminology, Social Work, Sports Science, Youth and Community Studies, etc., are also welcome.
- Enthusiastic about SEN: You should be committed to supporting students in overcoming learning barriers.
- Empathetic and Patient: You must have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Requirements:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
