Job Advertisement: Fluent Welsh Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Key Stage 1)
Location: SA9 Area
Start Date: Monday, 28th April 2025

Are you passionate about education and fluent in Welsh? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community on a full-time basis, starting Monday, 28th April 2025. If you're eager to make a difference and support the learning of young students in Key Stage 1, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum alongside the class teacher, ensuring engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

  • Provide targeted support to individual students and small groups to help them reach their full potential.

  • Encourage the use of the Welsh language throughout the school day, supporting children in their Welsh language development.

  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment for all students.

  • Supervise and engage students during breaks and extracurricular activities as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent Welsh speaker – essential for supporting Welsh language learning and communication with students.

  • Experience working with young children, especially within a Key Stage 1 setting, is highly desirable.

  • Must have your own transport to and from the school.

  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for working with children.

  • A valid DBS check will be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
