Job description

This position is ideal for current university students seeking work alongside their studies, prior to exploring a career in education.

  • Cover supervisors required
  • Flexible work available on an ongoing basis
  • Shift work – working as much or as little as you like
  • Earn up to £1700 per month, depending on experience
  • Experience working with young people or transferrable skills is desirable
  • Secondary schools across Salford
  • Supporting students across KS3 and GCSE

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing behavior and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.
  • Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages and ability. 
  • Assessing and evaluating pupils’ progress in the absence of the teacher.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people but do not need a teaching qualification.

Our partner secondary schools are located in Salford and are accessible from surrounding areas via the M62, A580, M66 and A56. For candidates who do not drive, the schools can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
