Salary: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team, working with secondary schools across Oldham. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting schools by managing classrooms in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring a positive learning environment, and helping students stay on task. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in education, particularly those considering a career in teaching or looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a classroom environment, following lesson plans provided by teaching staff.
  • Support students with their learning and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Handle any classroom issues in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on students' progress and any issues that arise.
  • Adapt to a variety of subjects and year groups as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and manage young people effectively.
  • An interest in education and a proactive approach to helping students succeed.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
  • A flexible, adaptable attitude with the confidence to manage classrooms in the absence of teaching staff.
  • A DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
