Job description

Are you passionate about education and looking to make a positive impact in the classroom? We are seeking dedicated and motivated Cover Supervisors to join our dynamic team in Rochdale. This role is perfect for those looking to gain valuable experience in the education sector or considering a future in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

  • Manage student behaviour and provide support to ensure students remain on task.

  • Follow and deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by teaching staff.

  • Engage with students to promote participation and adherence to school policies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to different learning environments.

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in core subjects; a degree or relevant experience is advantageous.

  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
