About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the SEN Department at a welcoming mainstream school in North Liverpool. Working closely with the SEN team, you’ll provide essential support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding role for anyone passionate about making a positive impact on students' educational journeys.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in Psychology: Ideal candidates may have studied Psychology or a related field, with a strong interest in supporting students’ social and emotional development.
  • Experience with SEMH and SEND: Previous experience working with children in schools or settings that focus on SEMH and SEND is highly desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS: Candidates must have an enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, supporting their individual learning and social needs.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team and teaching staff to implement tailored support plans.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt and differentiate learning activities to meet students’ specific needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
