Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Liverpool
Support SEN/SEMH Students and Make a Difference

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in young people’s lives? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer multiple opportunities for dedicated Teaching Assistants to work with secondary school-aged students across Liverpool.

These rewarding roles are ideal for individuals with experience or interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, especially those with a background in Psychology or experience working with vulnerable children or challenging behaviours.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students navigate their educational journey, providing both academic and emotional support. You’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to create a nurturing environment, tailoring your approach to meet individual student needs.

We’re Looking For Candidates Who:

  • Have studied or are studying Psychology or a related field.
  • Have experience working with SEN/SEMH students or supporting vulnerable children.
  • Are resilient, empathetic, and proactive in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Are committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A passion for education and making a difference in young lives.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
