Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Contract Type: Full-time Permanent
Salary: From £13.75 per hour

About Us:

We're looking for a caring and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs school in Southampton. If you're passionate about helping children with special needs and making a positive difference in their lives, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 or small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist the classroom in delivering tailored lessons and learning activities.
  • Support students with their emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour management strategies.

About you:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to support students with additional needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
