Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Southampton

We are hiring support staff for an inclusive and supportive SEN school in Southampton, dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience for students with a range of needs. The primary (4-11) school prides itself on fostering a nurturing environment where every child is given the opportunity to succeed academically and socially.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on a full-time basis. As an LSA, you will work closely with students, helping to support their individual learning needs and contribute to their personal development. The children have a mix of needa and learning disabilities and candidates will need to be confident in working with socia and communication, physical and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one, two-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of learning needs

• Assist with the delivery of differentiated lessons

• Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

• Help students with their social, emotional, and academic progress

• Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom activities

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for supporting children in their learning journey

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A Child Enhanced DBS on the update service (at the candidate's own cost)

Salary and Benefits:

• £13.75 per hour
