Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Rawtenstall

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with special educational needs students to provide support and assistance in their learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with SEN in their academic and social activities
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is required for this role.

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Patience and empathy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
