Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Job Duties

The KS2 Teaching Assistant will support the classroom teacher in delivering educational activities for Key Stage 2 students. Duties include assisting with lesson planning, providing one-on-one support to students, managing behaviour in the classroom, and helping to create a positive learning environment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths. Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred.

Education

GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience

Prior experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills

Good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Conditions

The role involves working during school hours, Monday to Friday. The Teaching Assistant will be based in a classroom setting and may need to assist with outdoor activities and school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
