SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Preston (PR4)

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support in Year 3) 

Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour 

Working Hours: Full Time, 8:45am - 3:15pm daily (0.5 hour unpaid break)

Are you passionate about making a difference in a child's educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive Primary School in the PR4 area of Preston. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support for a child with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) in Year 3.

Responsibilities:

-          Delivering tailored support to meet the individual needs of the child.

-          Assisting with academic tasks and promoting independent learning.

-          Encouraging social interaction and participation in classroom activities.

-          Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies outlined in the EHCP.

-          Monitoring progress and reporting back to the SENCO and parents/carers.

Requirements:

-          Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a one-to-one setting.

-          Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting children with diverse needs.

-          Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to education.

-          Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and individual learning styles.

-          Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
