Learning Support Assistant (1:1 SEN Support)

A leading recruitment agency is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work 1:1 with students with SEN in schools across Bristol and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for students with SEN in the classroom.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
- Offer emotional and behavioural support to students as needed.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure students' needs are met.
- Promote independence and confidence in students' learning.
- Support the delivery of lessons and assist with classroom management.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a classroom environment, ideally as an LSA or teaching assistant.
- Experience working with children with SEN (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students.
- A DBS check or willingness to undergo one (required for working in schools).
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (desirable but not essential).

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £49.50, plus an annual subscription fee of £16 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
