Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young learners? Do you have experience working with children and want to help shape their educational journey? We’re seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school on a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Assist students with individual or group tasks, promoting engagement and learning.
• Provide additional support to children with varying needs, both in and outside the classroom.
• Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, welcoming space for all students.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Participate in school events and activities as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Classroom experience is preferable but not essential. We welcome those with a background as a support worker, sports coach, childcare worker, or similar roles involving children.
• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Patient, empathetic, and able to work well as part of a team.
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude towards learning and education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
