We are a leading recruitment agency seeking Psychology Graduates to join our team as Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Bristol. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and activities that engage and motivate children.
  • Working with small groups or one-on-one to assist with learning, focusing on children with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties.
  • Helping children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills through tailored support.
  • Providing pastoral care and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of classroom resources and activities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology (or a closely related field).
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their academic and emotional growth.
  • Knowledge of child development, behaviour management, and psychological theories.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of each child.
  • Previous experience working with children (in any capacity) is a plus but not essential.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
