Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join a caring and inclusive school in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

About the Role:

• Teach a small class of students with diverse learning needs, delivering a tailored curriculum to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

• Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) to meet the needs of each student.

• Provide positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.

• Track and assess progress regularly, ensuring the learning outcomes are being met.

About You:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience in teaching students with special educational needs.

• Ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual needs of students.

• Strong understanding of various SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

• A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.

• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.

• A commitment to inclusion and helping every student achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
