Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one support for a Key Stage 3 pupil in Nottinghamshire. This role involves supporting a young learner with special educational needs who requires additional assistance with both academic development and emotional regulation.

We are particularly interested in hearing from tutors with experience in SEN provision and behavioural support, who can deliver tailored sessions that address individual learning needs while fostering confidence and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised learning sessions that are responsive to the pupil’s SEN profile and current ability

  • Provide consistent, structured support to help manage behaviour and reduce barriers to learning

  • Create a calm, supportive and inclusive learning environment

  • Track progress and encourage both educational and emotional development

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in working with pupils with special educational needs, including those with EHCPs or additional behavioural needs

  • Confident delivering bespoke tuition to Key Stage 3 learners

  • Able to work independently and build a trusting, professional relationship with the pupil

  • Holds, or is willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
