Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Parkstone, Poole
Contract Type: Full-time/ Part time
Start Date: January 2025
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. You will work closely with a team of professionals, including teaching assistants and support staff, to deliver tailored educational programs that cater to the individual needs of each student. Your commitment to fostering a positive learning experience will empower students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Deliver engaging lessons that are adapted to meet the varying abilities of students.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN education.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs and how to overcome them.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
- Experience working with a range of SEN conditions, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties, is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
