Job description

SEN Support Teaching Assistant Required in PRESTON

Start date: 6th January 2025

New opportunity due to additional funding within a local Primary School in Preston.

The SENCO leader of this small size Primary School are looking for a Part-Time TA to help supervise the needs of a pupil within Year 1 who is diagnosed with Autism. Though their behaviour can lead to disruption within the classroom, this pupil requires a TA who can be both firm and constructive. The SENCO team is small but very helpful here and the Head Teacher of this school values the community spirit that they have developed here.

The Roles Requirements:

  • Part-time mornings sessions (8:15 - 12:30)
  • Support 1:1 sessions
  • Perform guided reading
  • Supervise during class-time interactions

The idea Candidate will be:

  • A patient and understanding individual
  • Calm yet firm when needed to be
  • Experienced working with a variety of SEN needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
